I’m an experienced brewer and regularly brew stout. Tried this because the offer included sugar but immediately knew it was not right. Colour much paler than a typical stout, more like a bitter. Yeast failed to activate too despite using thermometer and heat belt. Very disappointed, no stout for Xmas now. Did get a full refund though.

I added half a kilo of light spray malt to the 1kg of brewing sugar and just followed the instructions. Two weeks later I bottled two crates of this wonderful stout and had my Irish friends asking for more. I will definitely be buying it again.
