Made first batch last year, 2023, did not start drinking it until 2024 - really excellent drink, perfect after a long, hot day in the garden. Made as per instructions, using malt extract in place of some of the sugar. A drink to be recommended.

I added one chopped up large orange and 1 cup of dried coriander, as well as 1kg of wheat sparymalt. I breed for approx 8 days in a big barrel, then siphoned it off into another barrel with some beer finings for one day. I Then bottled this off with one teaspoon of brewer sugar into each bottle, gave it a good old sjake and 7 days later hey presto! ready to drink. What does it taste like I hear you cry? well the closest I can say is Dutch Hoegaarden Wheat beer, or Belguim Blue Moon, both of these beers have the ingredients I added. I love it amazing fruity citrus beer, nice with a fresh slice of orange too very aromatic. On a side note I see comments on these products saying use granulated sugar, yes you can but brewers sugar is way better makes for a better taste or spary malt instead of the sugar as this is a sugar and gives a more refined taste, just choose the right spray malt for the brew you are doing. I suppose if you are making cooking lager then granulated works :)

This is probably my fault. Followed the instructions to the T and yet it tastes very cidery. I suspect I messed up the brewing. I can imagine what it should taste like (Hoegarten or similarly) but the instructions are most likely suited for Australian climate. I’ll try again with longer brewing time and higher temperature.
