MR DAVID GODWIN
Arrived very quickly with easy to follow instructions & started to ferment within 15 minutes of mixing & continued to ferment at a very rapid rate & was ready to be bottled after only 5 days. Very pleasant to drink straight away & expect it to improve further in time if it gets a chance. First time I have brewed this particular kit but will do again & highly recommended. Cheers

its so easy to make , when you do get used to you will prefer it to shop bought, its not that strong but you can enjoy a lovely wine , you can buy a yeast to make it stronger, but its about the taste and flavour, give this to your friends , but dont tell them , see the reaction

There is a bad after taste with this wine. It is the second kit I have bought from Wine Buddy and I will not be buying one again. Between these 2 kits, I made 2 Solomon Grundy kits which were really nice. If you don't want to be disappointed stick with Solomon Grundy. There were a few problems making the wine as it took 2 weeks to finally ferment, even though the bin was inside a Fast Ferment jacket and on top of a heating pad, so it wasn't too cold. I cannot taste any benefit of the oak chips at all. The first kit from Wine Buddy was a Pinot Grigio which also had a similarly bad after taste and was eventually poured down the sink. I feel the same will happen with this. This kit was definitely a mistake I will not be making in future. But with extreme caution...... you have been warned

30 bottles in 7 days. Mmmm. Really. I've done gallon kits for many years with great success, so I was reluctant to change what works for me. But at £22 a kit, I thought this was worth a gamble. Well, right from the off, I've been impressed. Fermentation was like Vesuvias meets Krakatoa within minutes of getting the brew going. It continued like that for 3 or 4 days, a huge frothy yeast monster towering up the fermenter... before finally subsiding for a couple of days of steady away bubbling. The hydrometer gave me the thumbs up around day 8... a couple of hours ago I started the clearing. It was a cloudy creamy white mass 2 hours ago and now it's almost see through. By tomorrow I expect it will be clear enough to rack. Of course, with it clearing from the top down, it would have been silly not to quaff a little, just to see how it goes down. I've not done an alcohol conversion, but I have no doubt at all that this is in the 12-13% region at the very least. From the first sip you know it's done the job. Tomorrow we shall rack 4 demi johns and leave it in the cellar for a while to mature, the 5th gallon shall be enjoyed over the next few days. It's not going to make its way onto the wine list at the Ritz... but for 65p ish a bottle, you're probably getting the equivalent of a £5/£6 Tesco wine. Will be starting the next batch at the weekend and printing off some custom lables to turn these into Christmas presents for family and friends.
